What is Howfenfest anyway?!

Howfenfest is a one day only event, bringing you the best in local musical talent together on one stage. In addition to this, there will also be a funfair. The afternoon session sees family orientated entertainment, whilst the evening brings you the best in local up and coming talent.

Where is this Howfenfest you speak of?

Howfenfest will take place in Central Park, Westhoughton, which is located on Bolton Road. (Please see the map below.) On the day of the event you will be able to access the festival arena through the Bolton Road car park (where the funfair will be located), next to the Cross Guns pub.

Are there any age restrictions on this event?

No, Howfenfest is open to people of all ages! The more the merrier.

Is alcohol allowed?

The centre of Westhoughton, including Central Park, is an alcohol free zone and there's absolutely nothing we can do about it. The good news is that both the police & council have agreed that Howfenfest can be moved up to the top football field (behind the Cross Guns) so people can get a drink & watch the music at the same time. Please remember Central Park is a designated no alcohol area.

Can my band play at Howfenfest?

Unfortunately the lineup has now been finalised, but we hope to see you down there on the day!

Is there an after party?

After all the fun of the Howfenfest, Kico Klub Bolton (Bradshawgate, above the Flying Flute) will host the Official Aftershow Party, which you will be able to gain free entry with Howfenfest wristband til midnight. After that it will be £3 so get there early to avoid disappointment.

Anything else I should know?

Silcocks Family Fun Fair will be on the Bolton Road car park (next to the Cross Guns pub) on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June from 12 noon daily. All rides will be £1.
